Exctracting latent heat from the ocean in ACCESS-ESM meltwater experiments

Hi All,

I’m interested in performing a suite of meltwater forcing experiments in ACCESS-ESM1.5 ( specifically SOFIA Tier-3 experiments) that account for the latent heat of additional meltwater.

I want to extract the appropriate latent heat from the surface of the ocean in the same region where the meltwater forcing is being applied with the sfc_salt_correction.nc file. I am unsure how to modifiy the surface boundary conditions in the model to achieve this?

For reference I am applying an integrated constant 0.1Sv via the P-E correction.

I am unsure if this has been and asked and answered, any help would be greatly appreciated!
