# MODEL-PROCESSING environment releases

This topic is used to announce new releases of the `model-processing` environment.  
The `model-processing` environment is released as part of the [containerised-environments-infra](https://github.com/ACCESS-NRI/containerised-environments-infra) repository.

# 🚀 model-processing 2026.09.15

The `model-processing` environment includes various tools for processing UM files and NetCDF data.

## Tools included

- [um2nc](https://github.com/ACCESS-NRI/um2nc-standalone#um2nc-unified-model-to-netcdf-post-processing): Convert UM files to NetCDF
- [addmeta](https://github.com/ACCESS-NRI/addmeta#addmeta): Add metadata to NetCDF files
- [umfile\_utils](https://github.com/ACCESS-NRI/umfile_utils#umfile_utils): Various tools to interact with UM files
- [splitnc](https://github.com/ACCESS-NRI/splitnc#splitnc): Split multi-field netCDF files into single-field files

## How to use

```auto
module use /g/data/vk83/modules
module load model-processing/2026.09.15

```

> You need to be a member of the [vk83](https://my.nci.org.au/mancini/project/vk83) NCI project.
