# Priorities for large MSU experiments

An experiment suggestion from Matt this morning: a (say) 20-year ACCESS-OM2-01 run without SSS restoring under ice, i.e. set `salt_restore_under_ice`=false. (In fact this means [SSS restoring is disabled when frazil is present](https://github.com/mom-ocean/MOM5/blob/730f0bf56f64fad0d9abcfa973b7348a89c175c3/src/mom5/ocean_core/ocean_sbc.F90#L203-L209) - it doesn’t actually use sea ice concentration from the sea ice model.)
