# Random spack errors/tips/fixes

The following error was triggered when an existing environment’s dependencies were modified in the `spack.yaml`:

```auto
[root@d513c5c7de56 ACCESS-OM3]# spack concretize -f
==> Error: concretization failed for the following reasons:

   1. cannot satisfy a requirement for package 'access-om3-nuopc'.

```

or

```auto
==> Error: concretization failed for the following reasons:

   1. No valid value for variant 'deterministic' of package 'access-om2'

```

When re-concretizing, remember to use the `--fresh` argument:

```auto
 spack concretize -f --fresh

```
