# Regional Ancillary Suite no longer running

Hi Team,
I’m setting up a new project with the UM Nesting suite, and getting blocked at _almost_ the very first step in the RAS - with the Regn1\_resn\_1\_ancil\_cap\_mask routine. When trying to make this mask (either with CAP or ANTS) I am getting this error:
```auto
forrtl: severe (9): permission to access file denied, unit 56, file /g/data/jk72/slf563/cylc-run/u-di786/work/1/Regn1_resn_1_ancil_cap_mask/fort.56
```
This is a symlink that is pointing to:
```auto
/home/563/slf563/cylc-run/u-di786/share/data/etc/ancil_master_cap/vegetation/cover/igbp/v2/qrdata.igbp
```
Which does not exist.
If I look into the master ancillary directory, which I think these files should be copied/linked from, there is also nothing there…
```auto
/g/data/access/TIDS/UM/ancil/atmos/master/vegetation/cover/igbp/v2
```
This problem is also occurring over multiple suites that have previously run for me. So I wonder if something has happened to the master ancillary files? Or has been some other change/update to the RAS that I need to also add?

Hi Sonya,
I’m having a similar problem! The RNS glm\_um\_recon step is failing because some of the ancillaries (land-sea mask and sea ice, that I know of) are missing / moved from this directory:
/g/data/access/projects/access/umdir/ancil/atmos/n216e/orca025
The files were there a few weeks ago. Anyone know if these have moved?

Files seem to have reappeared! Anyone know what might have caused them to be unavailable?

Martin’s redownloaded the files. Not sure why they went missing, possibly the files had incorrect permissions and someone inadvertently deleted them while cleaning up their own files.
