# Transient diabatic heating experiments using ACCESS-AM2/CM2

Hi! I would be interested in running experiments adding a transient diabatic heating forcing in the tropics. Would that be possible/feasible to do with the current tools or would that need modification of model code?

Where would you apply the heating? In the atmosphere or the ocean?  
It might help narrowing done what is needed.

@eliocamp I’m tagging this as #outofscope for ACCESS-NRI help. We are not supporting questions about the CM2 workflow because we haven’t released CM2 or its configurations yet.

But hopefully, others in the community will be able to help out.

I would be applying heating in the atmosphere, sorry I wasn’t clear.
