2. Brief update from WG co-chairs and ACCESS-NRI: Yi Huang, Charmaine Franklin, Matt Woodhouse, Heidi Nettelbeck (5mins)

4. In 2026, ACCESS-NRI is supporting three smaller, targeted ACCESS Community Workshops organised by two Working Groups:

   • ACCESS Workshop Connecting Machine Learning to Earth System science (19-21 August, Melbourne), organised by the Machine Learning and Atmosphere WGs – Abstracts are now open

   • ACCESS Workshop Coupled and Land Modelling (31 August – 2 September, Melbourne), organised by the Land and Earth System Modelling WGs – Abstracts are now open

   • ACCESS Workshop COSIMA and Crysophere (16-21 November, Hobart), organised by the COSIMA and Cryosphere WGs.

5. ACCESS Community Workshop: Connecting Machine Learning to Earth System Science Melbourne, 19-21 Aug 2026. Heidi Nettelbeck (5mins)
   → Abstract submissions close 15 May! See forum post for more information.

   • ML Working Group suggested to continue discussions/conversations with other WGs on Day 3 (21.08.) of workshop rather than each WG holding their separate meetings on this day.
