BARRA and BARPA Data Usage Survey

Calling all BARRA and BARPA users!

The BARRA (regional reanalysis) and BARPA (regional climate projections) teams at the Bureau of Meteorology are conducting a review into the usage patterns of the data they publish and store on NCI. This review will help determine which variables are prioritised for the current and future datasets.

They have put together a survey to gather this information. If you have used or plan to use these datasets, please fill this in by the 8th of June. Filling in the survey will help ensure the longevity of the data that is useful to you. The survey is expected to take approximately 4 minutes to complete based on initial testing.

Please use the link below: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/kXGb8xma8n

The information you provide in this survey will be used to improve these products. This survey is optional. Aggregated and deidentified data will be shared with partner organisations, such as NCI, the national partnership for climate projections and other modelling groups. You may complete this survey anonymously or you can choose to provide them with your contact details if you are happy for the organisers to follow up with you. If you choose to respond anonymously, please be mindful of any responses you provide in free text fields that may enable you to be identified. For more information about how they handle your personal information, read the Bureau of Meteorology’s Privacy Policy (https://www.bom.gov.au/privacy).

If you have any questions, please contact @EmmaHoward, emma.howard@bom.gov.au.

Thanks for posting this, Josh! I did similar on Cumulus yesterday. Note, if you are an ACCESS-rAM3 user then you are (very probably) a BARRA-R2 user!
