Concentration of greenhouse gases in ACCESS-CM2

Hi,

I am trying to find where in the suite or roses GUI you can find the greenhouse gas concentration specified. Specifically, I want to know where I can see the what the ppm of CO2 is for a specific suite.
If anyone know where to find this please let me know!

I asked around and it seems you might be after the Mass Mixing Ratios, in config-edit it’s
UM Science Settings
Section 01 - 02 - Radiation
Gas MMRs
Varying gas MMRs
Varying CO2 MMR

I’m guessing that stashvar 252 is related. Honestly I’m not familiar enough with the particulars of these to be sure. Getting PPM will require some conversion is seems.

Yes, or you can edit the co2_mmr entry in the <suite_id>/app/um/rose-app.conf file.

To convert MMR to PPM you can use:

co2_PPM = co2_MMR * 1E6 * mass_air/mass_co2

Where:
mass_air=0.0289644 #[kg/mol]
mass_CO2=0.0440095 #[kg/mol]
