For my post-doc position, I recently started to work on atmospheric radiative simulations using CM outputs from CMIP6. My main concern is to retrieve the land, sea and sea-ice surface longwave emissivity, which is not a standard CMIP6 output, to parameterize the radiative simulations. It’s tricky to find information on emissivity for most CMs as it’s generally not well documented. In the case of ACCESS-CM2, I would like to know if someone here could tell me how the longwave emissivity is parameterized or modeled in the different surface (land, sea and sea-ice) schemes ?
