ACCESS-ESM1.6 CMORisation Update: Early Outputs Available

Hi everyone,

We have started CMORising outputs from the ACCESS-ESM1.6 runs in p73. The current CMORised outputs are available at:

/scratch/p73/ESM1p6_CMORised

A couple of notes:

  • We have not yet finalised the institution_id. The current dataset uses ACCESS_Consortium, which is expected to be the identifier adopted in the CMIP7 Control Vocabularies.

  • ACCESS-MOPPy now generates a range of QC reports during CMORisation. I will share these reports soon, together with some documentation explaining what is being checked and how the checks are performed.

  • Please do not consider this a publication-ready dataset. The data will be updated regularly as we fix bugs, improve ACCESS-MOPPy, and refine the CMORisation process. If you are doing anything important, please wait for a stable release rather than relying on these outputs.

  • There are currently 2–3 variables that are still failing QC, and we are actively working through those issues.

I will do my best to respond as quickly as I can, but apologies in advance if it takes me a little longer than usual.

Hopefully having these early outputs available will be useful for anyone wanting to start exploring the CMIP7 data and provide feedback on the workflow.

I have just added a 10-year test for esm-historical-01 in the folder.
There is a PDF that aggregates the plots automatically generated by Moppy. This is limited but could be useful.

@RachelLaw correctly pointed out that I did not have the carbon / soil related variables cmorised.
