Tracking CMORisation Progress and QC Requests for ESGF Submission

Hi everyone,

To help us organise CMORisation work in preparation for ESGF submission, we now have a progress dashboard that we hope will make it easier to track experiments and ensemble members through the pipeline, and to improve the flow between modelling teams and the people preparing publication.

Progress dashboard:

One of the main goals is to provide a clearer system for tracking and managing CMORisation work. There is now also a way to request CMORisation for finalised experiments, including the key information needed to get that work underway.

We also have a companion QC registry/dashboard for requesting additional validation checks beyond the routine WCRP checker workflows:

QC registry dashboard:

This was motivated by earlier discussions with the Data Submission team, and I know there have also been related discussions within NESP. The aim is to give us a practical way to capture and track extra QC requirements for specific variables or experiments.

This system is still evolving and is definitely not perfect, but we hope it will help make the overall submission workflow more visible and manageable. Feedback is very welcome, and we expect to improve it as we go.

It is designed to ingest ACCESS-MOPPy reports so we can have a better understanding of what needs to be done.
