Celebration of Community Driven Sea Ice Modelling

The NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research will be hosting a Celebration of Community Driven Sea Ice Modeling, to honor Elizabeth Hunke’s contributions to the field, on February 28th, 2025. The agenda is still to be determined, but it will largely be invited presentations and retrospective talks. Although the daytime events will be hybrid, we are especially encouraging in-person attendance when possible.

We would also invite you to stay for the weekend in Colorado and attend the CESM Polar Climate Working Group meeting at the NSF NCAR Mesa Lab (March 3–4, 2025) [https://www.cesm.ucar.edu/events/working-groups/2025/polar]. Over the weekend there will be an optional ski / snow sports day in Fraser, Colorado. This is a “save the date” notification, and please forward on to any of your colleagues. Apologies for the cross-posting.

Please let us know if you are able to attend [https://forms.gle/mz7ZhYrkqSe753Tm7] or if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

David Bailey
