COSIMA Q4 compute

We’ve had a few requests for the COSIMA compute on ol01 this quarter, so I’m going to list them here so we can be more transparent and share it out fairly.

I’ve had requests from:

  • @aekiss for ACCESS-OM3-25km IAF cycles. 1-2 MSU requested.
  • @claireyung for ACCESS-OM3 regional 1/12th degree with ice shelf cavity tuning runs. 2 MSU requested.
  • @Lizzie for regional high res ocean only model with BGC that might also fall under ACCESS model development work. 0.4 MSU requested.

Questions:

  1. @aekiss can the ACCESS-OM3-25km IAF cycles go on internal ACCESS-NRI compute instead of WG compute?
  2. Anyone else want to make requests?

We currently have 0.8 MSU available.

If the 0.8 MSU is spare, I can use to extend the panan0025 runs for the NRI movies

Good news from @AndyHoggANU - we will be able to run ACCESS-OM3 IAF cycles on internal ACCESS-NRI compute this quarter if they’re started soon. So that means we can allocate the following compute from ol01:

@Wilton_Aguiar, apologies, we need prioritise model development and science over movie making for now. We can let you know if there’s excess compute towards the end of the quarter, or hopefully the NCI bonus queue is online before then.
