Are you a developer of ACCESS-CM3, AM3 or rAM3 models?
You are a developer if you are changing anything in the code bases of these models’ components and need to build the model with the latest versions of the model components.
Or you may need read access to the code source or the issues.
Upcoming changes that will affect developers
Following the transition of the MetOffice to GitHub, we will change our UM and JULES repositories to become forks of the MetOffice’s repositories. We will only make the change after JULES becomes open-source in July. However, the UM repository will remain private and only people who have access to its repository on the MetOffice GitHub organisation can have access to the forks. This is enforced by GitHub and cannot be overridden by us.
What you need to do
All developers should check they can access the MetOffice organisation and this repository:
- (if you want to check access to JULES use this URL: https://github.com/metoffice/jules, although it is not required).
If you cannot access the GitHub organisation and the repository
Please follow the instructions to gain access
If you can access the organisation but not the UM repository
Contact Scientific_Parnerships@metoffice.gov.uk and request access to the inaccessible repository.
