There is an interesting talk advertised over on the pangeo forum about creating a system to support federated data catalogues:
He makes the analogy with open source federated social media (ActivityPub and Mastodon), but a RSS and podcast feeds are similar. In the same way podcasts are discoverable and aggregated in many different apps, this approach would allow many different interfaces and modes of interaction.
It’s very much a “whaddya reckon” invitation to come and talk about how this might be achieved, but seems a very interesting and potentially powerful idea.
