Issue with extracting ERA5 data (era5grib)

Hi,

I am extracting ERA5 data as boundary condition for WRF using era5grib. I encountered an issue when trying to extract data of October 2023. I received error like this:

ERA5 errror1920×613 150 KB

extracting data for September 2023 worked fine. I also tried to extract November but got the same error as the October attempt.

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestion on how to resolve this.

The catalogue file that that version of era5grib uses has not been updated since Jan 2024 (/g/data/hh5/public/apps/nci-intake-catalogue/era5/catalogue.csv), 2023-09 is the last month it knows about.

There is a newer era5grib version 2 available that may use more up to date catalogues, try a newer version of the hh5 conda environment to see if that gets picked up.
