This is the modelling postdoc associated with our project 2WayXChange. In short:
We are seeking a Dense Water Ice-Ocean Modeller to investigate how changes in Antarctic Bottom Water layer thickness may allow warmer Circumpolar Deep Water to encroach onto the Antarctic continental shelf, altering the offshore heat reservoir that drives ice shelf melt.
This postdoctoral position is part of the 2WayXChange project and will join a coordinated cohort of four modelling postdocs at the British Antarctic Survey, working closely with an observations-focused postdoc at the University of Southampton and collaborating with partners across the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
