As flagged in the last COSIMA Meeting, myself, @MATTENGLAND , @adele-morrison and @PSpence are thinking of submitting an ACCESS-NRI visualisation project EOI this time around.
The idea is to explore, in three dimensions, the circumpolar antarctic circulation changes in a high-resolution ice-melting future. We could visualise the entrainment of warm CDW onto the Antarctic Shelf, the slowing formation of AABW in key formation sites, the slowdown of the ACC, and the speed up of the ASC/coastal currents. This would summarise the key circulation changes we expect may occur in a warming Antarctic, and would be an excellent educational and research communication tool.
