ACCESS-ESM1.5

:rocket: Release: 2.0

Configuration release-preindustrial+concentrations-2.0

Configuration release-historical+concentrations-2.0

Getting started

Updates

:white_check_mark: MOM5 code update to include a fix in the WOMBAT BGC model that prevents negative Schmidt numbers in warm temperatures #135, #136
:white_check_mark: CICE4 code update to direct error messages to stderr, and use non-zero exit codes #135, #136

Notes

The released configurations are version 2.0 indicating that they are not bitwise reproducible with their previous versions (version 1.2). This release gives different results for WOMBAT tracers relative to previous configurations.

Limitations

:stop_sign: Maximum model run-time of 1 year per queue submission
:stop_sign: Not directly compatible with equivalent CLEX payu configurations

Known Issues

:warning: Ice diagnostics measuring a rate are incorrect
:warning: Occasional extreme sea-ice thickness in isolated grid cells
