ACCESS-NRI plan to run a set of control experiments using the recently released ACCESS-OM2 configurations that include the WOMBATlite biogeochemistry model.
The current plan is to run, as a minimum, IAF experiments at 1 deg and 0.25 deg using a spin-up procedure that avoids excess heat and carbon uptake by the ocean and therefore emulates the pre-industrial to industrial transition. A primary purpose of these experiments is to provide data from the new WOMBATlite model to be used for analysis and subsequent experiments.
The proposed sets of ocean, bgc and ice diagnostics that will be saved are here:

If there are any additional diagnostics that you would like to be saved in these control experiments, please reply to this topic with:
- The name of the diagnostic and model from which it is available
- The frequency and reduction method for the diagnostic (e.g. monthly mean)
Suggested changes to existing diagnostics are also welcome.
We would like to start these experiments soon so please reply with your suggestions by next Thursday, 9th July.
