Will Hobbs: Data-driven polar research: M/L activities at the Australian Antarctic Program Partnership
The Australian Antarctic Program Partnership is a 10-year funded research program tasked with understanding the Antarctic and Southern Ocean’s role in the global climate and ecosystem. Its research projects cover atmosphere, ocean cryosphere and ecosystems/BGC, and our research practice includes data from field campaigns, model simulations, satellites and autonomous platforms.
In this presentation I will give an overview of AAPPs current and planned M/L activities, which span from reconstructing past climate, reducing bias in reanalysis products, and improved projections of future Antarctic climate.
