Announcement: Next year’s COSIMA workshop will be in Melbourne on 8-12th September! It will start with a 2 day hackathon, followed by 3 days of science, including some sessions linking in with the other ACCESS-NRI working groups (e.g. ice-ocean interactions, earth system modelling, machine learning). And of course the all-important COSIMA bocce tournament.
Join the brainstorming effort here!
Abstract submissions are open for the 2025 COSIMA Workshop! Submit your abstract here.
Don’t be put off by the ‘ACCESS Community Workshop’ title - we have been working hard to ensure that there will be a full week of content that is of interest to the COSIMA community. The week will include a 2 day COSIMA Recipes hackathon, 2 days of parallel sessions on cross-cutting science with other ACCESS Working Groups, a full day of COSIMA-specific science, a COSIMA bocce tournament and a COSIMA dinner cruise on the Yarra. So make sure you submit an abstract by 15th June!
In addition to the draft program for the ACCESS Workshop days (Wed/Thurs), including lots of ocean / sea ice / BGC talks, that has gone out, we also have the following COSIMA events the same week:
-
9:30am Monday 8th - Tuesday 9th Sep: COSIMA hackathon, including training on how to use and contribute to the COSIMA Recipes and the Annual COSIMA Bocce Tournament.
-
Friday 12th September: COSIMA Working Group Day, draft schedule:
Details of who has posters and lightning talks on which days will be out soon!
