@RachelLaw. candidate spin up runs? What should the test cases look like?
@clairecarouge, need to finalising the code base. As Rachel’s proposed tests will use one code base.

Finalising the code

Worked through the development thread.

@spencerwong, water balance, just waiting for final review of that code.

@manodeep, oneapi is all done and there is an open PR (@dougiesquire) to get it added to the config.

@anton. Has some CICE parameters that could be worth including in the spin up candidates. (aicenmin parameter affects ocean temperature; spin-ups with varied values proposed.)

Re: Mediterranean Bathymetry

  • Dropped due to lack of improvement; deep ocean drift prioritized.

Re: Forcing Files

  • Paul working on forcing suite with Martin.
  • Volcanic forcing update caused ~1% change in PI control; likely to be included.

@Jhan has a small transporation on tiles diagnostic change. Would like to try and get it into the next update (but not critical), @dougiesquire can help coordinate.

@sofarrell:

aicenmin that Anton mentioned is the only parameter thats the issue, we talked in Melbourne about seperating out the key code that will be impacting and testing that. I am not sure if Anton has on tm70 time to have tested that since. It was only a couple of years.

@anton: has fixed the diagnostics and should have some data to share in the next few days. Would require a code change (one liner).

Re: Coordination Strategy

@MartinDix. Albedo scaling to be added as a namelist variable.

candidates for spin up

@RachelLaw suggest having another meeting to coordinate.

@RachelLaw: @tiloz etc has regular team meeting tomorrow morning. All are welcome at 10am. @MartinDix would like to attend. @manodeep suggesting we have a new table for the different spinups (@clairecarouge agrees). @RachelLaw will work towards making a new table (similar to these perhaps?).
