This topic will be used for announcements for the Research Software Enginneer (RSE) Group.
We will announce meetings, workshops and events through this topic. There will not be an email list. You need to join the Research Software Community Group to receive new announcements via email notifications.
To avoid individuals accidentally spamming the whole group, this topic is closed and only the leadership team will be able to post replies. If you have questions check if the question has already been asked on the forum, and if not open a topic on the forum.
We will keep meeting notes as a way to introduce ourselves and add any updates at each meeting. The editable link to the document will be shared during each meeting.
Community presentations
Anyone in the community will have the option to give a 10-minute presentation during each of our meetings. These can be to present a new piece of code, an error you are encountering, a useful resource for the community, or anything similar. Please add your name, potential topic (if known), and preferred presentation month or day in this spreadsheet.

August meeting of the Research Software Community: August 7 at 10:00am AEST
It’s time for our next addition of the Research Software and Data Community meeting! This month we will be hearing about some of the highlights from the SciPy conference that was held in the US a couple weeks ago. The SciPy conference is one of the largest gatherings of open-source software developers and researchers, so there is a lot of crossover with our Australian Research Software and Data community!
