ESM Working Group Meeting

1. Admin

  • Science presentations: We have no speakers scheduled after this meeting. Please consider presenting, even work in progress that you’d like some feedback on. Message co-chairs or @spencerwong.
  • Remember to add any items you want this WG to discuss to ideas for topics

2. Shared experiments/ACCESS-NRI resources

  • ESM project lg87 has used 420 KSU of its 875 KSU allocation for this quarter. /g/data storage steady at 35TB
  • Any more proposals for shared experiments for next quarter? See guidelines for how to do this.

3. CMIP7 fast track discussion

  • @RachelLaw will lead the first of the regular series of discussions on the CMIP7 Fast Track, to occur every second meeting. These will involve updates on the model development, spin up, and test simulations and will be an opportunity for the community to provide feedback.
  • This week’s discussion will include a summary of progress since the ACCESS-NRI workshop, with time for questions.

4. Prerelease runtime orbital parameters for ESM1.5

  • @spencerwong will briefly detail how to test the new prerelease ESM1.5 executables.
