Hello everyone! I am helping organise one of the in-person events for an ocean-themed hackathon called OceanHackWeek. The Australian in-person event will be held in WA (either Perth or Dunsborough) between August 7 and 11. We are looking for ocean scientists with programming experience who can volunteer as mentors to guide participants through their projects. Accommodation and meals will be provided for mentors for the entire event. If you know any ocean scientists based in WA, or if you would be interested in being a mentor, please get in touch with me either here or through my email: lilian.fierroarcos@utas.edu.au.
Also, if anyone is interested in participating, applications are open until June 2: OceanHackWeek 2023 (OHW23) — OceanHackWeek. You can join the hackathon in-person or online, and you can propose your own project, so this is a great opportunity to either learn something new or get some help in your own project (as I have done in previous years). Maybe if there is enough interest, we could set up a project that uses the ACCESS models.
